Spring Communique

Dear Members,

We hope this email finds you well and excited for the start of the 2025 golf season!

Following several weeks of course clean-up, Mark and his team are finally able to concentrate efforts on a more traditional course clean-up. They have been hard at work, giving the greens, tees, and fairways their first cut of the year the course is already looking fantastic - which can only mean one thing: our golf season is right around the corner!

The entire staff are thrilled to welcome you back and would like to share a few important updates from around the club.

Tentative Opening Day

Our tentative Opening Day is set for Thursday, May 1st. As always, this is weather-dependent and will be influenced by the course’s overall health and its ability to handle play. As we approach this date, we’ll share more details regarding available services and course conditions. Colin will send out an email regarding tee time bookings. 

Capital Projects & Club Enhancements

This winter has been one of our busiest yet. We’re excited to share that most of our capital projects are now complete or nearing completion:

• Maintenance Facility – We’ll be moving into our new facility in May

• New irrigation pumps and control panel installed

• Re-purposed greens equipment storage into new cart storage (relocated quonset hut + new electrical panel)

• 48 brand-new EZ-GO carts have arrived

• Deck expansion completed

• New deck furniture delivered

• Main floor bathrooms have received a facelift

Membership Update

The Briars Golf Club continues to thrive, thanks to our welcoming culture and strong community. Member referrals remain our largest source of growth, and following a lower-than-expected offseason attrition, we anticipate being at full capacity by mid-year.

At this time, we are accepting new membership applications in all membership categories. If you know someone interested in joining our community, please have them contact scott@briarsgolf.com us as soon as possible.

Each year, we look to our members for support and guidance through committee involvement. For 2025, we have a few openings on the following committees:

• Membership & Marketing Committee

• House Committee

• Handicap Committee

Operations & Staffing

Our department managers have once again done a fantastic job assembling a great service team. While we’re happy to welcome a few new faces this season, we’re especially proud to share that all department managers and the majority of our experienced seasonal staff have returned. This continuity ensures the high-quality service and familiarity our members value.

Golf & Social Events

All of our classic golf events will be returning to the 2025 calendar, and we’re excited to continue our popular concert series. The first concert of the season sold out in less than 48 hours—thank you for your amazing support!

Colin has already shared operational updates and announced this year’s Golf & Social Program. Please keep an eye out for a special introductory email by our newly formed Social Committee. In the meantime, you can visit our website calendar for a full list of 2025 events.

Final Words

The Golf season is almost here! Before long, we’ll be enjoying warm summer days, cold drinks on the deck, friendly banter in the clubhouse, and smiling faces all around. We can’t wait to see you back at the club and kick off another fantastic season together.
